1- Maldives

Carrying the description of "The most beautiful island in the world", Maldives is undoubtedly worthy of that title. The lagoons, beaches, coral reefs and marine life has an extraordinary beauty that can't be emphasised by words unless you visit it yourself. Located in the Indian Ocean, this magical archipelago boasts more than 1000 coral islands.


Maldives is home to 70 different types of corals, and incredible marine life, enabling visitors to explore the wonders that reside in the water. Some of the many water activities available to enjoy include scuba diving, snorkelling, and underwater walking. A unique excursion available are the tours on boats with a glass floor, to be able to see the wonderful underwater life without having to get yourself wet.

In order to enjoy the real beauty of Maldives, a seaplane flight is generally recommended as the best means of transport. Providing you have the budget for that, you will be able to enjoy the spectacular view of the 22 atolls, beaches and lagoons it has. The one thing that comes with the experience, that is unforgettable, definitely has to be the unreal sunsets on display every evening. Due to its geographical location, Maldives has a 'perfect' sunset almost every evening.



2- Corfu, Greece


It's no secret that the Greek Islands are amongst the most beautiful travel destinations in the world. Many of the things you can find in Corfu include rows of multicoloured houses, the sound of waves smoothly crashing onto the sand on beaches that are easily accessible, and solitude. Being the northernmost island of Greece, Corfu has an old town with Renaissance, baroque and classical architecture worthy of your Instagram feed. It's conveniently close to Albania if you choose to travel from there.


Being the second largest island of the Ionian Islands, Corfu can be explored in its entirety in a week without a car. Many of the sites to visit in this beautiful island include beaches like Porto Timoni, the Corfu Old Fortress, The Square of the Esplanade, and the Palace of St. Michael and St. George which boasts a beautiful Asian Art Museum.


Aqualand is quite a popular family waterpark and almost always the number one choice for families with young children. The designers behind Disney theme parks worked on rides here, which should give you a vague idea of what to expect. Be careful not to book a trip based around it, as it only operates during the summer period (between 12th of May until early October). Other excursions Corfu has on offer are Nautilus Underwater Experience, Trailriders, Pyramid, and Crazy Speedboat which you're guaranteed to love if you are in the mood for a lively adventure.



3- Bora Bora, French Polynesia


Ah, Bora Bora. The stuff of dreams. As you arrive by plane, the view says it all. How not to be mesmerised by this stunning palette of sapphire, indigo and turquoise, all mixed together in modern-art abstractions? French Polynesia has a nice tropical climate, free of extreme weather phenomena. Temperatures usually don’t go over 90°F (32°C) and tropical storms or cyclones are very rare.

The good thing is that you can mix slow paced sun and sand holidays with action packed adventures. Diving, snorkelling, lagoon tours, hiking, and paragliding are readily available. As well as five-star resorts, a handful of low-key midrange hotels beckon.



4- Palawan, Philippines


Palawan is the largest island of the province of Palawan in the Philippines and the fifth largest island of the country. The north west coast of the island is along the South China Sea, while the south east coast forms part of the northern limit of the Sulu Sea. Palawan is home to one of new seven natural wonders of the world – Puerto-Princesa underground river. This 5-mile long river is the longest navigable underground river in the world. The Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park which protects this natural wonder of Palawan. It has also been recognised as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1999.


Palawan’s outstanding land and seascapes make it a world-class cultural, adventure and nature destination. From trekking through the hills, valleys, and rivers to snorkelling and diving, to partaking in and celebrating with the locals at some of the diverse festivals held throughout the year, there are truly remarkable experiences awaiting you in Palawan.


Another don’t miss attraction of Palawan is Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park. It’s a UNESCO world heritage site, covering an area of 13,028 hectares, this natural park protects a significant number of marine species. The North islet in this park is home to marine turtles and birds. It makes for an incredible destination for photographers and filmmakers alike.



5- Fiji


Fiji is one of the most scenic archipelagoes in South Pacific Ocean. It consists of 332 islands. Only one-third of them are inhabited. Tourism is the backbone of Fiji’s economy. This country has everything a beach lover wishes for, including gorgeous lagoons, coral reefs and palm filled white sandy beaches.


Not just beaches, Fiji also has lush rainforests and towering peaks. The natural world of Fiji also home to breathtaking waterfalls. The most beautiful among them is Tavoro waterfall.

It’s a series of three gorgeous waterfalls located within Bouma National Heritage Park in Taveuni island of Fiji. Surprisingly, all three falls of Tavoro have natural swimming pools.
